ACP Builders worked closely with our client Hope Fuels (Formally Freedom Fuels) on the re-branding of their existing service station at Bilinga opposite the Gold Coast Airport near the border of Queensland and NSW. This is the first of their newly branded service stations and we are very grateful to collaborate with them on this exciting project. The works commenced in mid-July 2020 and the service station was handed over to the client, defect free and operational for 24hr trade in early November 2020.
The shop fit out concept was designed by Wingid, who have previous experience in rebranding big name fuel stations. ACP worked closely with the designer, client, and specialised trades to bring the design concepts to life. The bespoke nature of the design required ACP’s Project Team to source new and untried materials and custom colour schemes all the while adhering to Gold Coast Airport leasing requirements and stringent safety and environmental approval processes.
Due to the live nature of the site, the project required to be broken into stages allowing minimal down time for the service station and disturbance to surrounding shops in the centre.
Stage One works entailed separating part of the existing tenancy and creating a new office space for future leasing opportunities. Full demolition of the existing service station space and refurbishment to the new branding concept.
Stage Two fuel forecourt works involved removing and replacing all fuel lines, installing new sumps, adding diesel fuel to existing dispensers, integrity testing of all fuel components, reinstating forecourt slabs and calibration of all the dispensers.
Stage Three stormwater run-off works were designed and stage by ACP’s management in a manner allowing the newly refurbished service station to reopen for trade while these works were completed. Additional specialised Fuel Installers, Stormwater and Environmental Consultants were engaged to ensure adherence to all Airport, Council, State and Federal environmental and safety regulations.
ACP Builders utilised its core team of Sub-Contractors including Concreters, Carpenters, Plasterers, Painters, Plumbers, Tilers, Fuel Bowser Technicians, Electricians, Cabinet Makers, Glaziers and Security Installers to effectively complete the required works for Hope Fuels.
