Front entry: The main entrance sets the tropical feel of the home

Burleigh Heads – home renovation and extension
The brief for this project was to create a beachside retreat for a busy family by renovating the existing 1980’s original brick and tile home.
The finished product ticked all the boxes; it was aesthetically pleasing with a resort feel and the extensions provided a beautiful inside-outside flow to capitalise on the fabulous Gold Coast weather.
The renovation included an extension to create a relaxing upstairs parents’ retreat, ensuite and study, downstairs a three-car garage, workshop, media room and outdoor dining area. This was in addition to remodelling the kitchen, dining, lounge and main bathroom. ACP finished the works with an inviting entry to set the scene for this now modern entertainer.

Before and after photos

Media room & parents retreat: The internal garage was converted into a media room and a parent’s retreat added above, complete with walk in robe, ensuite and study

Entertaining area: a deck was added and the house opened up with stacker doors to flow through to the new entertaining area

Kitchen & lounge: the kitchen was brought out to the external wall of the house to open out to the new entertaining area. Dining room now looks over the pool oasis

Main bathroom: the bathroom was extended by removing half of the linen cupboard in the hallway which allowed the shower to double in size

Garage: the new design incorporated utilising the Council relaxation already in place for the existing garage being near the property boundary to allow a triple garage to become part of the new home
